Lecturer & Faculty Advisor
Tim is a lecturer in Motorsport Engineering at UWTSD and supports the project both as Faculty Advisor and Driver. Tim specialises in vehicle aerodynamics and chassis development.
Tim started competing in 2001 in the ASWMC Sprint and Hillclimb Championship. After finishing 3rd overall and becoming the Under 21s ASWMC Champion Tim spent time working on Formula Student during hisUndergraduate and Postgraduate studies culminating in winning the UK Endurance event outright in 2009.
After founding the student Race team at UWTSD Tim competed in the 750MC Formula 4 championship for two years achieving a 12th and 8th place finish in the championship, before moving to the Monoposto Classic Championship where he finished 8th overall again. In 2014 the team moved to Sports 2000 where Tim finished 10th, 8th and 4th in 2014,15 and16 respectively.
Paul is a technician at the University and supports students with all things mechanical. He is a superb welder, fabricator and coffee connoisseur.
Paul is an experienced motorsport fabricator and an expert in damper tuning and construction. Paul’s setup knowledge helps guide the students on the team whilst he he also responsible for checking that the car is safe before it hits the track.
